Buying remotely requires more evidence
Someone living outside Durango needs more than a sales sheet. Dated photos, exact location, walkthrough video and documents help filter options before traveling.
Remote advisory does not replace a final review, but it prevents unproductive visits.
Minimum comparison package
- Map with access points and nearby references.
- Wide photos of the surroundings, not only the lot or facade.
- Summary of price, payments, validity and utilities.
- List of available and pending documents.
When to travel
Schedule the in-person visit when you already have two or three finalist options. That way the trip validates, negotiates and advances the file instead of starting from zero.
Request a comparison pack, not a gallery
For each property, request the exact location, current sheet, dimensions, price, payment method, utilities, development stage and list of available documents. Photographs should show access, the street, boundaries and surroundings as well as the lot or façade. Ask when the images were taken and store them under the correct option name. Use the same format for every property; a more attractive presentation does not mean the file is more complete.
Treat the video call as a directed inspection
Send a route in advance: approach from the main road, boundary walk, neighboring views, slopes, service boxes and utilities. Ask for slow movement, scale references and close-ups only after seeing the context. Record questions and answers in writing afterward. Live video can eliminate unsuitable options, but it does not establish measurements, structural condition or legal status; reserve those checks for qualified professionals and a final visit when appropriate.
Protect documents, payments and traceability
Verify identity and the official channel before sharing personal information. Use controlled-access folders, avoid sending sensitive data in group chats and verify any bank-account change through a second channel. Do not pay simply because photographs or a video call were provided. Review the reservation document, recipient, purpose, conditions and receipt. For a specific transaction, arrange independent public-record and notarial review; remote sales guidance organizes information but does not replace those functions. Keep a dated activity log.
