Create a simple calendar
Schedule roof, plumbing, electrical, paint and seal checks so small issues do not become expensive repairs.
| Frequency | What to inspect | Action if you find an issue | Recommended record |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | Leaks, filters, detectors and electrical panel | Address leaks and electrical anomalies immediately | Photo and inspection date |
| Before the rainy season | Roof, downspouts, seals and drainage slopes | Clear drains and repair waterproofing | Before-and-after photos |
| At each season change | Windows, doors, vents and façades | Renew seals and clean air inlets | List of parts or materials used |
| Annually | HVAC, plumbing, electrical system and cracks | Schedule professional servicing | Invoice, warranty and next service date |
Keep records
Save warranties, service dates and photos. Organized records make future maintenance easier.
Turn maintenance into records and dates
Create an inventory of the roof, facades, windows, drains, pumps, water heater, panel, gas, seals and equipment. For each item record location, manufacturer, warranty, last review and next task. Photograph normal condition for later comparison. Memory cannot identify a slow change precisely.
Schedule by season and risk rather than anniversary alone. Address water, electricity, gas and structure first with qualified people. Record cost, finding and correction; when a fault repeats, investigate the cause before covering it again. Keep invoices and reports that may support a warranty, insurance claim or future sale.
